Upcoming Bikes In India

Honda Interceptor

The hunger of Indian sports bikers will be satisfied with the Honda Interceptor 800cc.

At the heart of the Honda VFR 800 is its 781cc DOHC 90-degree V-4 VTEC engine, which combines the power characteristics of both two- and four-valve cylinder-head designs. This revolutionary engine runs on two valves per cylinder below 6400 rpm, and then switches to four valves per cylinder to deliver significantly stronger low-end and mid-range torque while maintaining Interceptor’s impressive high-rpm power delivery.

43mm Honda Multi-Action System (HMAS) cartridge front fork provides enhanced handling under all riding conditions, while the Pro-Link single HMAS gas-charged shock does the duty at the rear. Ensuring that high speed touring doesn’t leads to backaches.

With four brilliant multireflector headlights which employ two centrally positioned H4 low/high beams positioned under two widely spaced H7 high beams for brilliant nighttime illumination will equally make Honda VFR 800 capable at night too.

These features will surely make Indian bike lover go ga ga and it will be the right weekend motorcycle, which would happily take you to majority of the weekend destination in comfort and style.

Honda VFR 800 Interceptor’s non ABS version would likely cost Rs. 10 lakhs in India, while the ABS version is expected to be priced 2,3 lacs more.

Suzuki GSX-R 1000

Suzuki GSX-R 1000 offers something different when compare to other bike in same segment amongst the usual selling points of superb handling, class leading performance it offers switchable ECU maps.

With switchable ECU fuel mapping you can switch to low performance for easy handling in traffic, fuel economy and when riding with cruisers, medium for faster rides with the 600cc and full power for the track and Hayabusa owners.

The engine produces a claimed 136Kw from 999cc production motorbike sure torque is claimed a mere 120Nm but the bike weighs in at 172Kgs. The age of ever less weight equals greater performance and handling is over I think. There comes a point where MORE weight equals even greater performance and handling. And about time some one was brave enough to do it.

The next thing ypu will notice about the inclusion of dual exhaust pipes! as always 2 pipes are better than one in terms of looks. Just like big rear tyres just look better than skinny ones.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 is created to do everything right. Right from the beginning. Its aerodynamics reminds users that Kawasaki is indeed an aircraft maker. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 is based around Kawasaki motorcycles 1352cc four-stroke engine.

This most powerful of all Kawasaki-branded motorcycles was An inline-four, the ZX-14 is liquid cooled, and has four valves per cylinder. To make the engine super smooth, Kawasaki added two secondary balancers. With absolutely no engine vibration reaching the rider, it almost feels like like the ZX-14 doesn't have a powerband like most motorcycles.

It redlines at 11,000 rpm and the power tops out at 9,500 rpm, but you never notice any rush of power or peaks or valleys in the torque curve. The engine just makes power everywhere in the rev range. The ZX-14’s chassis design is every bit the equal of its power plant.

It is an advanced version of Kawasaki’s unique aluminum monocoque frame, lightweight and very strong.
